A warning to all the parents and students who are planning to study German in Speeki Ai Language Academy run by Ms. Aparna Mulberry in Ernakulam, ig - invertedcoconut

I’m sharing this to warn anyone considering joining or enrolling at Speeki Ai (Inverted Coconut Pvt. Ltd.) in Kochi, whether as a student, parent, or employee. Please read this before making any decision.

From May to October 2025, I worked there as a Senior German Faculty. What started as an exciting teaching opportunity turned into one of the most mentally exhausting experiences of my life.

During my time there, I faced repeated verbal discrimination and harassment from two colleagues. They made remarks about my regional and linguistic background, things like “Hindikars are lazy” and “our Bengali will do the job.” and questioning My work ethic. These weren’t jokes or one-offs; it was a pattern of bias and exclusion that made it impossible to work with dignity.

I formally complained to HR on 28 September 2025, naming the individuals involved and requesting an internal investigation. The company acknowledged the complaint but did nothing meaningful. The same people continued their behavior, and the pressure on me only increased.

Soon, the stress started affecting my mental health. I was diagnosed with Adjustment Disorder with depressive reaction at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences on 26 September 2025, caused by prolonged workplace stress and discrimination. I shared my medical certificate with the management and asked for understanding.

Instead of helping, the company withheld my salary and experience documents when I resigned (on 4 October 2025) due to health reasons. They claimed I “breached my contract” by not serving a notice period, even though Indian labour law allows immediate resignation in cases of workplace harassment or medical emergencies.

I also personally informed the founder, Ms. Aparna Mulberry, who is a well-known influencer on Instagram promoting positivity and inclusion and speaks Malayalam about what was happening. She was aware of my situation but chose not to intervene or respond.

That silence from the top told me everything about the work culture. What’s projected online and what happens inside the organization are very different things.

I’ve now filed a formal complaint with the Labour Commissionerate, Ernakulam for workplace harassment and non-payment of wages.

I’m not posting this for sympathy, only so students and parents know what kind of place this is, and teachers or staff think twice before joining. A clean social media image doesn’t always reflect the truth.

If you’re in Kochi and planning to work or study at Speeki Ai / Inverted Coconut Pvt. Ltd., please do your research and ask the right questions. Don’t let branding or online personality influence a decision about your career or child’s education.

After I shared this post on r/kochi I was threatened by Ms. Hannah Thomas, the Academic Head at Speeki Ai, who said she would file a false sexual harassment complaint against me as retaliation for speaking out.

This kind of intimidation only proves how deep the problem really runs. Instead of accountability, they’ve chosen coercion and fear tactics to silence me.

I’ve already started preserving all evidence and will be reporting this new development to the Labour Commissionerate and the police for further action.

No one should ever have to face false allegations just for telling the truth.
